In the 94th minute, sheer ecstasy erupted for Chelsea and caretaker boss Calum McFarlane as Enzo Fernández forced home a last-gasp equaliser. The goal left Pep Guardiola howling at the heavens and gifted the stand-in Chelsea manager a unforgettable moment. On paper, Guardiola versus McFarlane could be billed as the Premier League's most pronounced managerial mismatch in class, making the memory of Fernández's pivotal intervention one to warm the 40-year-old throughout his career.

A Glaring Contrast in Pedigree

On the home bench was the most decorated manager of his time, a man with four decades of silverware for football's giants Barcelona, Bayern Munich, and Manchester City, taking charge of his 1,012th match. In the visitors' dugout, stood a former coach at lower-league sides Croydon and Whyteleafe, who had served in City's own academy and arrived to make his first-team debut after being seconded from his regular role guiding Chelsea's youth teams.
